What is the PPCAA?
We are a charitable, fundraising organization comprised of and supporting the mission of the Peoria Police Department, the Peoria Police S.A.L.T. Program, and the Peoria Police Citizens' Academy.
Our volunteers are passionate about supporting our law enforcement men and women and promoting positive community relations.
We foster increased awareness regarding operations and practices of the Peoria Police Department.
We help to coordinate efforts among the PPCAA, the Peoria Police Department and the community.
We pursue a wide range of resources such as grants, contributions, donations, etc., to support these efforts.

Tell me about How you raise funds?
We raise funds through various activities and venues such as restaurant fundraisers, car/motorcycle shows, and donations to name a few.
Tell me about Where do these funds go?
These funds are earmarked for a number of worthwhile needs. Some of these include homeless outreach, Special Assignments Unit (SAU), Youth Citizens Police Academy, patrol needs, K9 unit and graduation ceremonies for the Citizens' Police Academy. We also collect water, sports drinks and snacks to give to our police department.

In order to join the Alumni, you must be a graduate of the Peoria Police Citizens' Academy or the S.A.L.T. program. If you qualify, please complete an application and mail it to:
